January 2007 UPS/FedEx Rate Change

Effective January 1, 2007, FedEx and UPS will be modifying their rates.



UPS

The new UPS rates will include the following list price changes:

• 4.9% increase for ground shipments.
• A net average increase of 4.9% on all air express and U.S. origin international shipments.
The new rates will be posted online at www.ups.com to provide details about the changes to specific products and zones.



FedEx

The new FedEx rates will include the following list price changes:

• FedEx Express package and freight rates will increase an average of 5.5% for U.S., U.S. to Puerto Rico and U.S. export services. The fuel price at which surcharges begin will be adjusted, resulting in a 2% overall fuel surcharge reduction and a net average rate increase of 3.5%.
• There will be some changes to the FedEx International Priority and FedEx International Economy service minimum rates.
• FedEx International Premium rates will change.
The new rates will be posted online at www.fedex.com/us/rates2007.
